Chernabog is the main villain of Fantasia and a minor character in Michael and Mickey, Fantasia 2000, and Mickey's House of Villains. Upon awakening on Bald Mountain on Walpurgis Night, he had a party where he sadistically tormented his own guests for hours and only receded upon the arrival of morning light. He also enjoyed going to the movies and hanging out with Jafar at the House of Mouse (which they both wanted to make the "House of Villains").

What Makes Him Entertaining?[]
- He is an icon of Disney in his own right, serving as a staple for Fantasia.
- His segment is chillingly dark and macabre in general, augmented enormously by adrenalizing Russian opera music that makes his movements feel almost more like a dance than an expression of malice.
- His design and animation are striking, showcasing a blend of power and artistry. His massive, imposing figure and the dramatic lighting create a visually captivating experience.
- He represents primal fears and the darker aspects of human nature, rather than just being purely evil, and this allows for audience intrigue.
- His party with his demonic followers is nothing short of badass.
- He is genuinely affable. He apologizes to Michael Eisner for blocking a screen, laughs innocently at one of Mickey Mouse's dad jokes, and flatters Maleficent for her epic and iconic dragon form, speaking for everyone with the line, "Love your work". He also helps the ringleader Jafar kick Mickey Mouse out of the club they just conquered and only forfeits when Goofy exclaims that Aladdin's lamp can hold Jafar for all eternity.
- He is very cool in Kingdom Hearts, serving as the boogeyman in one of its boss stages.
- He is completely undefeated, as the oncoming sunlight hasn't defeated him as it simply means he has to save his diabolical villainy for another night.
What Makes Him Detestable?[]
- Chernabog is too sadistic to be a Magnificent Baddie, transmuting several initially humanoid demonesses into horrifying beasts.
- He even tosses astral entities into hellfire and only backs off of them when church bells start ringing out of the blue. While they were demonic entities of astral stock who were already dead, he surely had a reason for throwing them into fire against their wishes with a Slasher Smile, and knowing him, obviously nothing good.
- He also has too much Fridge Brilliance to be magnificent, as Chernabog's temptation of Eve is completely off-screen.
