Courtney is a major antagonist in the Total Drama franchise. She is a perfectionist and competitive girl who joins the titular reality show to win the million-dollar prize.

She was voiced by Emilie-Claire Barlow.

Her Qualities

What Makes Her Entertaining?

• Emilie-Claire Barlow did an excellent job voicing her and gave her a beautiful singing voice.
• She has an appealing, good-looking design.
• Through her time competing in Total Drama Island, she was a civil, friendly and decent person for the most part and nowhere near as bossy or insensitive as she would be in the later seasons.
• She had a pleasant friendship with Bridgette and relationship with Duncan in Island.
  • Her moments in this season of spending time with Duncan and being scared by Duncan or teased for her crush on him can be seen as amusing and endearing.
• She has great musical talent, being skilled at violin, guitar and singing.
• She develops a good friendship with Gwen for some time in Total Drama World Tour, until Duncan returns.
• There are a few moments when she shows compassion, like standing up for Harold against Duncan and Geoff's bullying and being the only one to be concerned for Owen and Izzy when they were crushed by the plane.

What Makes Her Detestable?

• She is domineering, rude, haughty and self-righteous, and often blames the other contestants for problems that she causes or criticizes them for faults that she has.
  • In addition, she always thinks she is in the right and a good leader despite proving the opposite, and annoys her teammates by constantly bringing up her experience as a counselor-in-training (CIT).
• After her elimination in Total Drama Island, she grows far more ruthless, antagonistic, controlling and overly competitive, eventually subverting the kind-hearted personality she once displayed.
• She values the prize money over everything else, including love and friendship, and has even shown to be willing to let people die if it means she can have it.
• She tends to whine, bawl, throw tantrums and/or overreact in other ways when things do not go her way.
• In Total Drama Action, she cheats in the game via advantages from her lawyers and forces Chris to allow this.
• She becomes abusive and overbearing to Duncan in Action, even making a long list of rules to force him to change his character to how she wants to see him.
• After finding out that Duncan cheated on her with Gwen, she becomes extremely hostile to them, to the point of purposefully throwing challenges to eliminate Gwen, which she succeeds in after a few episodes.
• In Total Drama All-Stars, she starts to redeem herself and rekindle her friendship with Gwen at first glance but ultimately reveals she was just pretending to be friends and planned to betray and eliminate Gwen.
