Eric Theodore Cartman, most commonly referred to by his surname Cartman, is the main antagonist of the South Park franchise.
He is a little boy between the ages of 8-10 who has been the longtime arch-nemesis of Scott Tenorman, Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski and Kenny McCormick altogether, Liane Cartman's son, and Heidi Turner's ex-boyfriend.
He is voiced by the show's co-creator Trey Parker.
His Qualities[]
What Makes him Entertaining?[]
- Trey Parker's hilarious voice acting, often noticeable when he says stuff like "respect my authoritah."
- His evil plans are always so hilariously crazy and somehow stupid but smart, making him an amazing antagonist.
- Occasionally, he has moments of genuine heroism, like defeating Saddam Hussein in the movie.
- It's very rare, but, he has proven to have a level of care for his friends, and for his mother.
What Makes Him Detestable?[]
- He is a constant jerk to his friends, constantly making fun of Kenny for being poor. It is far worse though for Kyle as he almost always insults him for being a dirty Jew. Even then, he often goes further and even gave him AIDS at one point.
- He is a bully to just about everybody around him, especially Butters, who he frequently manipulates into doing things like thinking he is in a VR game, sucking his dick or hiding in an apocalypse shelter just so he can steal his birthday invitation.
- He laughs at breast cancer because he thinks it is funny.
- He is always abusive towards his mother (despite her being nice and even spoiling him), regularly calling her a poor bitch among other things.
- He is incredibly racist towards Jews, viewing them as non-human and even trying to restart the Holocaust at one point.
- He is oppressive towards Gingers and thinks of them as non-human, even manipulating the town into rioting against them. This is extremely hypocritical on his part as when he himself is tricked into becoming Ginger, he has them try to kill all non-Gingers due to being oppressed thanks to a system of his own creation.
- Despite his hot temper, he is incredibly cowardly and cries like a baby, notably when Kyle just lightly hits him. This is also notable when he continually insults Wendy and instead of apologizing to her in front of everyone, he tries to tell her in secret not to beat him up, pretends to have a revelation, goes to tattle on her parents and then finally gets a satisfying beat down when she has had enough of him as he continues to insult her publicly.
