Serial Designation J, best known as simply J, is a major antagonist in the 2021-2024 Glitch Productions web series Murder Drones. She is a Disassembly Drone who believes she was tasked by her parent company, JCJenson, to eliminate the Worker Drones. She is the boss of N and V, whom she previously worked with as maids in the Elliot Mansion before Cyn's massacre.
She was voiced by Shara Kirby.
Her Qualities[]
What Makes Her Entertaining?[]
- She has a rather attractive design which fits with her charming deep voice, done by Shara Kirby.
- She has a handful of comedic moments throughout the series and in promotional material, such as getting injured by a JCJenson pen, her tendency to blurt out corporate buzzwords in place of profanities, and gets beat up in funny ways.
- Despite her incompetence as she always loses to Uzi and friends, she seems to be a great fighter with the arsenal provided for Disassembly Drones.
- She was given some depths of her character in "Home", where she was shown to be a good friend towards Tessa despite her usual bossy attitude towards N. Even though "Absolute End" seems to have turned her into a selfish traitor who works with the Absolute Solver, it's quite hard to diminish her good chemistry with Tessa.
- While it ultimately failed, she tried to convince V to join her and the Solver as the winning team.
- Although she is far from being a good person, there are several instances where she's painted in a sympathetic light; she was once a normal Worker Drone who has friends (though she bullies N still), until it was taken all away by the Solver. It's even implied she's forced to watch Tessa getting killed by the Solver. All of that led to J giving up any hope to fight against it and turns her into the cruel drone she is today. Whether you're a fan of J or not, most people would feel bad for her.
What Makes Her Detestable?[]
- Along with her team, she killed many Worker Drones on Copper 9, under JCJenson (or the Absolute Solver)'s orders.
- She is shown to be a terrible boss towards N, threatening to kill him if JCJenson lets her to, eventually puts a virus on him when he starts questioning the company. In "Heartbeat", it's shown that she's already a bully to N even before getting turned into a Disassembly Drone.
- Beneath her tough demeanor only shows how much of a coward J is, as she helps the Absolute Solver in destroying Copper 9 and to the extent, the universe, under the belief that she's on the winning team. She also betrayed her own teammates in the process for fighting against the Solver.
