Madara Uchiha was the mastermind of the Eye of the Moon Plan. He was a highly intelligent and powerful fighter whose name alone put fear into the hearts of the newer generation of ninja. He was responsible for Obito's turn to villainy in his overall plot to try and cast Infinite Tsukyomi on the world. He is one of the main antagonists of the Naruto anime/manga franchise.
His Qualities[]
What Makes Him Entertaining?[]
- During his resurrection in the war, he has a calm, aloof, and composed demeanor. He maintains this demeanor when in the face of large army, fighting the five Kage, and when assisting Obito against Naruto, Kakashi, Guy, and B.
- After his resurrection, he fights the Fourth Division Army all by himself. During the fight, he is shown to be a one-man army with fast reflexes, superhuman strength, and reaction time. He also succeeds in his battle against the army in the end by summoning meteors to defeat his enemies.
- He fights the five Kage, giving them the hardest fight to date without sustaining showing any signs of weaknesses.
- Both his voice actor's performances of him are awesome and succeed in giving him a ruthless and ominous personality and help make him an amazing and powerful character to the audience. Special mention goes to Neil Kaplan, which is his most famous role and best voice performance in his entire career.
- He remains in the war by breaking out of Kabuto's Impure World Reincarnation contract when Itachi attempted to have all the undead return to the pure land.
- He fights the eight tailed beasts by himself and succeeds in defeating them.
- He becomes the Ten-Tails jinchuuriki in a matter of minutes with no issues, unlike Obito. He accomplished this task of gathering the tailed beasts and reviving the Ten-Tails in a very short time, something that took the entire Akatsuki years to do and days to seal the beast into the statue.
- He succeeds in his casting the Infinite Tsukyomi on the entire world.
What Makes Him Detestable?[]
- He was bigoted towards the Tailed Beasts and looks down upon them. He does not care that they are individuals and views them as filthy beasts.
- He betrayed the Hidden Leaf Village and attacked the village multiple times. His brazen attitude and lack of concern for others was such a problem that Hashirama resolved to kill Madara to protect the village after all his attempts to reason with him failed.
- Madara gave Nagato his rinnegan, as a child, in hopes of having someone else manipulate him into sacrificing his life in order to bring Madara back to life after the latter's death.
- Madara ruined Obito's life by making him witness his friend, Rin, commit suicide by impaling herself on Kakashi's chidori. Rin's kidnapping, implantation of Isobu within her, and her death was all orchestrated by Madara so that Obito can despair and turn to villainy. Years after the incident, Madara mocks Obito about the latter being his pawn.
- Madara was highly egotistical. He saw himself as the righteous savior of the world. His egotism was great enough where he specifically wanted to be the one to cast the Infinite Tsukyomi on the world than have Obito do it even though his plan would have succeeded had Obito casted the jutsu.
