Master Alan Frown is the main antagonist of the Cartoon Network series, UniKitty!. He is the titular character's former arch-nemesis.
He was voiced by Eric Bauza, who also voiced Foop in The Fairly OddParents.
His Qualities[]
What Makes Him Entertaining?[]
- He has many Laughably Evil moments in the series which make him entertaining to watch.
- He is shown to have high intellect as he almost succeeds in a number of his villainous plans, though he ends up failing in some way.
- Eric Bauza does a good job at voicing him.
- He has a good-looking character design.
- He serves a foil to Unikitty's personality. While Unikitty is all about happiness, Master Frown is all about frowns and negativity.
- Deep down under his evil self, he is lonely and insecure, and actually cares for Brock, who has been his only friend, though he prefers concealing his soft spot and behave like a total jerk. In "Best Best Friends" he feels guilty for making Brock feel bad and decides to sing his favorite song for him and join the competition.
What Makes Him Detestable?[]
- He is a sadistic bully who finds pleasure in and revels in the suffering of others, sometimes taking it upon himself to ensure that everyone is just as unhappy as himself.
- His idea of evil tends to be pretty mild, petty things like pulling a bookmark out of someone's book or trying to smash Puppycorn's snowman. He tends to resort to petty ways on making people unhappy, although he hasn't done anything too heinous. His acts of villainy are frequently just petty obnoxiousness, and his schemes often fall apart either due to his own mistakes or the sheer insanity going on around him.
- He has "kick the dog" moments in the series whenever he tries to ruin everyone's day just to get them to frown and be unhappy, for example throwing a dart at Puppycorn's face in "Dinner Apart-y".
- Overall, he is too incompetent and petty to be a Magnificent Baddie, as his attempts to spread misery around the Unikingdom regularly fail and usually backfire on him in a painful way or incur the wrath of Hawkodile, and he commits acts of evil over rather small things.
