And the rest... is history! And since my hopes and dreams of making the world's best movies were VIOLENTLY F*%@ING CRUSHED BY YOU LOT! I'm reviving my newly rekindled dream! Of opening my VERY OWN amusement park! And not just ANY amusement park... One filled with the most ENTERTAINING performers! And that... of course... includes... you! | „ |
~ Mr. Puzzles explaining his motive to SMG4 and Mario. |
Mr. Puzzles, also known as the Mysterious TV Guy, is a major antagonist of the 2011 Australian adult-animated comedy series SMG4, serving as the main antagonist of The Showgrounds Era.
He is a supernatural humanoid television cybernetic being and content creator who seeks to entertain people with his own media company and streaming platform, which he created and owns, called Puzzlevision. He is the current arch-nemesis of SMG4, SMG3, Mario and Meggy.
He was voiced by Brendan Blaber.
What Makes Him Entertaining?[]
- Brendan Blaber did an amazing job voicing him.
- He is very intelligent and resourceful, as he orchestrated the events of Season 13, and he is quite good at convincing others to do his dirty work.
- He has many comedic moments due to his eccentricity, making him quite entertaining to watch.
- Whether it excuses his actions or not, he does have a somewhat tragic backstory; he grew up lonely and friendless, he wanted to be an amusement park owner when he grows up but his father tells him that he has no creative vision to achieve it, and ultimately uses Cybernetic TV Set as a way to escape his problems, became obsessed with it to the point that he beheaded himself and replaced his own head with the same exact TV, while somehow surviving the transformation.
- Many of his songs, such as "TV Time", "Creative Control", and "Puzzle Park" are all catchy to listen.
- He is genuinely fond of Leggy, as his sidekick.
What Makes Him Detestable?[]
- He is the one who orchestrated the events behind Season 13 and forever changing the lives of the SMG4 crew, ranging from selling SMG4 a dangerous keyboard that temporarily corrupted him into madness and destroyed Peach's Castle, permanently traumatizing Meggy via One-Shot Wren, stealing SMG3's notebook and gave it to Marty.
- He abducted the SMG4 crew and uses them for his entertainment.
- He tried to turn the entire world into his own TV show by mass brainwashing the populace with his 5-star rating content.
- He tried to break into Meme Factory for his new plans.
- He overthrew Mickey Mouse and took over Disney as the new CEO, creating the Puzzle Park as a result.
- When Meggy refused to join him, he forcibly brainwashes her into being Leggy.
- He has a couple of breakdowns whenever things don't go his way.
- There are a few moments where he's a coward, as he retreats whenever he loses his bravado.
