Princess Shroob is the main antagonist of Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, the second installment of the Mario & Luigi video game series.
She is the tyrannical supreme ruler of the alien species known as the Shroobs. Desiring to have the Mushroom Kingdom under their iron fisted command, she waged war against the land commanding her military force. She is the younger sister of Elder Princess Shroob, from whom she took up her title as grand leader after the former was imprisoned in the Cobalt Star.

What Makes Her Entertaining?[]
- As abrasive as she may be to the other Shroobs on occasions, she is nevertheless an excellent commander and leader. She is constantly maintaining control over a not only massive, but also organized and competent troop under her rule.
- She is extremely intelligent, equaling if not surpassing Fawful in planning and strategy, as she frequently eluded if not outright outsmarted the heroes most of the time until the climax.
- Even compared to the other high-ranking Shroobs, she stands out as unique for several reasons.
- She is notably the only purple Shroob (alongside her sister) to be in a high position, which is also ironic as purple ones tend to be foot-soldiers or at least lower in rank than commanders.
- She is the only fully-clothed member apart from Elder Princess Shroob.
- On such note, she is also the only other one confirmed able to speak human language.
- Although such is up to interpretation, based on the respective programmed language, such implies she could also be multilingual.

- She is uniquely the only Mario & Luigi main antagonist to (technically) be a second-in-command, as her older sister still outranked her before she was imprisoned in the Cobalt Star.
- She proved to be a challenging and formidable opponent in combat, making clear that she can fight on her own with no other option and above all making for a rather enjoyable battle.
- Moreover, her mechanized throne being incorporated in the battle itself adds excellent definition to its exact capability, adding more cool effect. In addition it made for an although subtle, nonetheless fulfilling nod to Cackletta.
- Adding to the design of her wear being a dark reflexive of Princess Peach herself, her hinted preference of silver over gold unlike the latter is also a defining touch.
What Makes Her Detestable?[]
- She is extremely sadistic, cruel, and psychopathic, feeling genuine enjoyment at the suffering of her victims (including innocent Toads).
- She tried to kill the Mario Bros. (including the Baby Bros.) and Princess Peach in brutal fashions several times throughout the story in brutal ways, proving the extent of her ruthlessness and cruelty.
- She overall has no redeeming qualities, as she showed not a hint of remorse or regret for her heinous enormities and is not confirmed to care for her sister.
- She is a massive tyrantess, as she made clear she would stop at nothing to rule the Mushroom Kingdom with an iron fist and take over the world, willing to go as far as attempted genocide.
