Stewart "Stewie" Gilligan Griffin is one of the deuteragonists of Family Guy. He is the infant son of both Lois and Peter Griffin, the younger brother of Meg and Chris Griffin, the best friend of Brian Griffin, including being the older half-brother and arch-nemesis of Bertram.

He is voiced by series creator Seth MacFarlane, who also voices Peter Griffin, Brian Griffin, Carter Pewterschmidt, and Glenn Quagmire in the same show, and Roger Smith in American Dad!.

His Qualities

What Makes Him Entertaining?

• His contradictory characteristics are very interesting, being an infant with genius level intelligence and an adult-like personality.
• His design is funny and impressive, as his head looks like a football.
• He is highly intelligent, can create lots of invention and conduct multiple evil plans.
• Like other Family Guy characters, he is constantly played for laughs and has tons of iconic comedic moments.
• In later seasons, he starts to get more redeeming qualities, especially his genuine care for and friendship with Brian, even saving Brian from getting hit by a car.

What Makes Him Detestable?

• He is a juvenile delinquent who committed lots of crimes throughout the series, especially in early seasons when he aims to take over the world and kill his mother Lois, killing lots of people during his acts. Even after he abandons his evil goals in later seasons, he still takes a villainous role now and then.
• He is a huge jerk even during the episodes where he is not villainous, speaking in a sarcastic and abrasive way to everyone, especially to Meg who serves as the punchbag of the series.
• He goes wrathful and violent whenever anyone gets in his way, even beating up his best friend Brian twice.
