~ Stu explaining the to-be future of the Woodsboro killings. |
Stuart "Stu" Macher is the secondary antagonist of the 1996 slasher film Scream, the first installment of the franchise of the same name.
He was portrayed by Matthew Lillard, who also played William Afton in the film adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy's.
What Makes Him Entertaining?[]
- Matthew Lillard portrays him with an energetic and hilarious performance.
- He and Billy Loomis were the first Ghostface killers to ever exist and the ones who inspired multiple future Ghostfaces, thanks to Roman Bridger, the ultimate mastermind behind all the events of the franchise.
- While is taken very seriously when he reveals his true nature, he has a lot of very comedic moments before his reveal, such as when he says he's getting a beer and "I'll be right back!" to spite Randy Meeks.
- He appears to be one of, if not the most mentally insane killers in the franchise due to his creepy behaviour in act 3 and being one of the most brutal killers in the franchise.
What Makes Him Detestable?[]
- He is a sadist who was motivated to commit crimes because he could.
- He brutally murdered and raped Maureen Prescott, which gave Sidney extreme PTSD to the point where she had sexual problems.
- He brutally killed Casey and Steve due to pettiness of Casey dumping Stu for Steve.
- He sent his girlfriend Tatum into the house garage where he knew Billy was going to kill her.
- He tried to trick Sidney into thinking Randy was the killer.
- Him and Billy were going to go on a second killing spree, something no other Ghostface planned on doing.
