“ | If you guys are willing to die to stop the killing game, I'll die to continue it. Even if it's just fiction, I gave my life to make it. I've given my life... to Danganronpa. | „ |
~ Tsumugi Shirogane |
Tsumugi Shirogane, the Ultimate Cosplayer, is the main antagonist of Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony.
Initially portrayed as a support character in the game, this turned out to be a facade later on, eventually revealed to be the mastermind of the Killing School Semester and Shuichi Saihara's archenemy.
In the Japanese version, she was voiced by Mikako Komatsu. In the English version, she was voiced by Dorothy Elias-Fahn.
Her Qualities[]
What Makes Her Entertaining?[]
- She has a pretty and attractive design, which contrasts her sadistic and psychopathic nature.
- Mikako Komatsu did a rather energetic performance
- Before she reveal, she has plenty of comedic moments which makes her a rather funny character, while after that she is revealed to be a serious threat.
- She is a highly intelligent mastermind, standing out to be much more cunning and manipulative than the masterminds in the previous two games:
- She is the first Mastermind in the series who was directly among the participants, instead of being someone the players and characters had never seen before the finale.
- Before her final reveal, she is capable of hiding her nature by pretending to be an nice and innocent girl, being kind and "helpful" to everyone, even shed in tears before Gonta's execution, which succeededly deceived everyone.
- During every class trail, she pretends to help in solving the cases, but in fact she uses all of her additional comments to force completely unnecessary subjects into casual conversations and the trials, significantly hindering everyone from solving those cases without everyone doubting her.
- When Kaede Akamatsu used a shot put ball to try to kill the mastermind and almost accidentally killed Rantaro Amami, Tsumugi bashed his head in to kill him, then framing it on Kaede and having her executed.
- With her getting away with murder successfully, she could be deemed to be the smartest culprit in the entire Danganronpa franchise.
- Even being cornered by Saihara in the final trail, she still tried to manipulate everyone into believing she is innocent.
- After she is revealed to be mastermind, she shows her brilliant and flashy talent of flawlessly mimicking other characters' voices and appearances.
- After she is defeated in the finale, instead of making any villainous breakdown, she peacefully waved goodbye towards everyone, accepting her death with dignity.
What Makes Her Detestable?[]
- She is a completely sadistic psychopath who organized the killing game for sheer sadism, and all of her affability and care about other students are just facade.
- She forced 15 other teenagers to murder each other with various motives and executing them in creative and brutal ways when they are exposed.
- She cheats in her game by killing Rantaro Amami herself while framing Kaede Akamatsu as the culprits, causing her to be excuted in an extremely painful way.
- After she is exposed as the mastermind, she tries to drive other students to despair by showing how they're all fictional and that K1-B0's "inner voice" was just an audience survey.
- When K1-B0's personality was deleted by the audience, she takes sadistic pleasure seeing it as proof that the audience wants Danganronpa to live on.
